Deuba: Congress general convention will be on time
Speaking to journalists at Chitwan Airport, Deuba stated that efforts to delay the convention are unfounded and misleading.
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has affirmed that the party’s general convention will be held on schedule, dismissing recent speculations as baseless.
Speaking to journalists at Chitwan Airport, Deuba stated that efforts to delay the convention are unfounded and misleading.

Responding to growing concerns from some party leaders and members opposing a potential postponement, Deuba said, “The Congress General Convention will take place on time. Claims suggesting otherwise are false.”

He also addressed the recent national budget controversy, downplaying the removal of the ‘Take and Pay’ provision. “It was a minor issue. Now it’s removed, and the budget has passed. It’s not something to be exaggerated,” he said.
Furthermore, Deuba dismissed allegations linking the Home Minister to the recent visit visa scandal, calling them entirely untrue.
