KATHMANDU: Nepalese food manufacturer Yashoda Foods, known for its popular Current Noodles, has expanded its retail presence with the launch of its second outlet, Current Mart, in Baneshwor’s Katyani Chowk.

The new store follows the success of the company’s first outlet in Bhairahawa, reflecting rising customer demand and the brand’s growing popularity.

The grand opening ceremony was marked by a ribbon-cutting event attended by Yashoda Foods Director Madhusudan Ghimire and National Sales Manager Yugraj Pandey, alongside area sales managers Sony Pudasaini, Bimala Khati, and Sapana Bhusal.

At the event, Director Ghimire provided the media with detailed insights into the new outlet, emphasizing its role in bringing the company’s entire range of products under one roof.

Current Mart will offer the full suite of Yashoda Foods products, including the famous Current noodles, various snacks, cheese balls, sticks, potato crackers, as well as specialty teas such as Current Gold Masala and CTC tea, alongside a selection of spices like cumin, coriander, and red chili powder.

Speaking at the inauguration, Chair Chunna Prasad Paudel said, “The love and trust shown by our customers in Bhairahawa encouraged us to extend our services to the capital. Now, Kathmandu residents can conveniently access our fresh, high-quality products directly from Katyani Chowk.”

Yashoda Foods, established in 2017, has quickly emerged as a leading producer of food and beverages in Nepal.

Its Current brand noodles and snacks, particularly popular among the youth, are distributed nationwide and exported to more than 22 countries, helping promote Nepalese flavors on the global stage.

The launch of the new Current Mart complements the company’s existing Current Point stores in Anamnagar and Shankhamul, which introduced customers to innovative noodle flavors, while providing a more comprehensive shopping experience for packaged foods.
