KATHMANDU: Yashoda Foods, the producer behind Nepal’s popular “Current Noodles” brand, has expanded its retail footprint with the launch of the second “Current Mart” in the Kathmandu Valley.
The new outlet, located in Kapan near Reliance College, officially opened its doors today.

This follows the success of the first branch at Katani Chowk, Baneshwor, which drew significant customer attention and demand.

To mark the opening, Yashoda Foods offered a special 10% discount on all products across the store.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was jointly conducted by Yashoda Foods’ Global Executive Director G.P. Shah and Director Prakash Paudel.

The event attracted company officials, customers, and well-wishers.

At the new Kapan store, consumers can access the full range of Yashoda Foods products under one roof, including the popular Current brand noodles, snacks, cheese balls, sticks, and potato crackers.

Tea enthusiasts can also find Current Gold Masala, CTC tea, and a variety of spices such as cumin, coriander, and red chili powder.

Speaking at the inauguration, G.P. Shah said: “The love and trust our customers have shown at the Baneshwor branch inspired us to expand our services across other parts of Kathmandu. Residents in Kapan and nearby areas can now easily access our fresh, high-quality products. We also encourage everyone to take advantage of today’s 10% discount offer.”

Yashoda Foods’ expansion reflects growing consumer demand for its “hot and spicy” noodle segment and the company’s commitment to enhancing retail accessibility for its customers.
