Copenhagen’s night glow: 1,000 runners light up the city in ‘Light Run’

KATHMANDU: About 1,000 runners took part in Copenhagen’s “Light Run,” a special nighttime race.

Participants dressed in illuminated outfits and ran through the city, becoming part of the glowing art installations along the route.

The event combined sports, public spaces, and contemporary light art, guiding participants past large-scale light structures and brightly lit urban areas.

The Light Run is part of the Copenhagen Light Festival, now in its ninth year.

What began with 16 installations has grown to feature over 45 light artworks this year.

The festival will continue until Feb 22.
