Coalition convenes meeting to allocate ministerial portfolios

KATHMANDU: The recently formed ruling coalition, comprising CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Centre, RSP, and JSP, convenes at 2 pm today to determine the distribution of ministries among the parties.

In the afternoon session, Shankar Pokharel, Barsaman Pun, Swarnim Wagle, and Rajendra Shrestha are expected to finalize the ministerial allocations.

In conjunction with the new power structure, Prime Minister Prachanda dissolved the previous cabinet and established a new 4-member cabinet on Monday.

Notably, Padam Giri from UML, Hit Bahadur Tamang from Maoist, and DP Aryal from RSP were sworn in as non-departmental ministers on Monday.
