Chandragiri Cable Car services resume after two-month closure
The services were suspended following damage caused during an incident on Bhadra 24, which had severely affected the bottom station of the cable car.
KATHMANDU: Chandragiri Cable Car and Resort has resume its operations from Saturday morning, after remaining closed for nearly 60 days.
The services were suspended following damage caused during an incident on Bhadra 24, which had severely affected the bottom station of the cable car.

According to Chandragiri Hills, the company brought in senior technicians from Doppelmayr, the Austrian cable car manufacturer, to carry out extensive repairs, safety checks and inspection procedures before reopening.
The management stated that the service has been ensured safe and fully operational for visitors.
With the reopening, visitors and devotees will once again be able to travel conveniently to the popular religious and tourist destination of Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple.
In addition, guests can access hospitality services and various recreational facilities at the Chandragiri Hills Resort.
Chairman of Chandragiri Hills, Hem Raj Dhakal, expressed gratitude to the technical team for their dedicated effort and thanked visitors for their patience during the closure.

He welcomed pilgrims and tourists to enjoy the scenic beauty of Kathmandu Valley and the peaceful environment atop Chandragiri.
Before the suspension, the cable car service used to serve around 2,000 visitors daily.
The company also extended appreciation to the local community for their continued support in restoring the services.
