Cement firms support police with equipment in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Leading cement manufacturers Sarbottam Cement and Jagadamba Cement have handed over essential equipment to the newly constructed Nepal Police Circle, New Baneshwor as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The handover took place on Sunday, at Subidhanagar, Tinkune in Kathmandu.

Items including computers, air conditioners, printers, refrigerators, and cameras were jointly presented by company directors Tika Ram Neupane and Diwas Neupane to Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Singh.

According to the companies, the support aims to strengthen the operational capacity of security agencies while contributing to society. They expressed confidence that the assistance will help improve service delivery at the police office.

Both companies have been actively involved in social and community initiatives and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such efforts in the future.

Sarvottam Cement, Nepal’s first cement producer using advanced European VRM technology, operates with a daily capacity of 3,000 metric tons for both cement and clinker production.

The company holds ISO 9001 quality certification and ISO 14001 environmental certification, along with Nepal and Indian quality standards.

It markets products under brands such as Green Sarvottam OPC and Saurabh Green PPC across Nepal and exports to India.
