Candidacy of 4 people for the post of Vice President maintained, final list been released
Only four candidates have been nominated for the post of Vice President, according to the list.
KATHMANDU: The final list of Vice Presidential candidates has been released by the Presidential and Vice Presidential Election Office.
Only four candidates have been nominated for the post of Vice President, according to the list.
Astalaxmi Shakya of the CPN-UML, Pramila Kumari Yadav of the JSP, Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav of the JSP, and Mamata Jha of the Janata Dal-Secular filed their nominations for Vice President.
The office stated that because these four people did not withdraw their candidacy, their candidacy was successful.
The office had set a deadline of 4 p.m. on Sunday to withdraw the nominations. JSP has stated that one of the two parties’ candidacy will be deactivated prior to the election.
The election of the Vice President has been scheduled for March 17.
