Bipin Karki to lead ‘Kaji’, release set for April 10
The production team unveiled the film’s first look today, confirming that it will hit theaters on Chaitra 27, coinciding with the upcoming New Year holiday.
KATHMANDU: The Nepali film Kaji, directed by Laxman Rijal, has officially announced its release date.
The production team unveiled the film’s first look today, confirming that it will hit theaters on Chaitra 27 (April 10), coinciding with the upcoming New Year holiday.
Produced by Ram Prasad Rijal under the banner of Rijal & Rijal Production, Kaji marks Laxman Rijal’s return to directing after an eight-year hiatus.
Rijal shared that he decided to make a comeback after finding the script he had long been searching for
He is known for directing films such as Kasam, Dhuwa Yo Nasa, Alvida, and Kayra, and producing December Falls and Ganapati.
The first-look poster features lead actor Bipin Karki looking young and stylish, with neatly groomed hair and beard, wearing a shirt, and appearing deep in thought.
Keki Adhikari also appears on the poster, seemingly holding a special place in Bipin’s heart, evoking memories of shared moments.
The poster suggests that the film will focus on a family-centered love story.
The star-studded cast includes Garima Sharma, Prakash Ghimire, Hemanta Budhathoki, Bishal Pahari, Binod Neupane, Rashmi Bhatta, Hiuwala Gautam, Sandeep Babu Lohani, Roji Shrestha, Ganga Sharma, Navaraj Giri, Buddhi Sagar Khanal, Prashansa Subedi, Kritika Sharma, and child artist Dikshita Aryal.
The film is written by Pradeep Bhardwaj, cinematography is by Chintan Rajbhandari, and music is composed by Kaliprasad Baskota.
Production designer Ojaswi Ojha, color coordinator Shyam Kunwar, location sound and sound design by Sagar Aryal, and background score by Sujil Karmacharya complete the technical team.
Creative head is Ronald Shrestha, with dance direction by Kabiraj Gahtyaraj.
The editing team includes Bipin Malla as editor and Banish Shah as editing supervisor.
Production head Prakash Hamal, executive producer Ashim Kafle, and producers Nehan Rijal and Bikash Raj Joshi are overseeing the project.
The film will be distributed by Shreeram Balaji Films.
