Bayern Munich held to a draw by Union Berlin

KATHMANDU: Bayern Munich was held to a 1-1 draw by Union Berlin in a Bundesliga match on Saturday, maintaining their position at the top of the league table.

The match, played at Union Berlin’s home ground, saw Leroy Sané score for Bayern, while Benedict Hollerbach equalized for the home team.

Sané gave Bayern the lead in the 75th minute, but just eight minutes later, Hollerbach scored to bring Berlin back on level terms.

Despite both teams pushing for a winner, no further goals were scored, and the match ended in a draw.

With the draw, Bayern Munich remains in first place with 62 points from 26 matches.

Union Berlin, on the other hand, stays in 13th place with 27 points from the same number of games.
