KATHMANDU: Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich were held to a 2-2 draw by bottom-placed Mainz on Sunday, maintaining a 9-point lead over second-placed RB Leipzig.

In the 67th minute, Mainz went ahead as Je Sung Lee converted a brilliant header from Stefan Bell’s precise pass, beating Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Bayern rescued a point late in the game when Potulski fouled Harry Kane inside the penalty box with just three minutes remaining. Kane calmly converted the penalty to secure the 2-2 draw.
Kane remains the Bundesliga’s top scorer with 18 goals, marking his 80th league goal.
