KATHMANDU: Bagmati Province Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Prabhat Lama, has assured that he will allocate budget to implement plans and programs envisioned by the people of Rasuwa and shaped by the district’s needs.

Speaking during his first visit to his home district after being appointed finance minister, Lama vowed to prioritize education, health, and infrastructure development to address the longstanding gaps faced by the people of Rasuwa.

He emphasized the importance of unity among locals to uplift living standards through people-centered development initiatives.

Residents of Rasuwa welcomed Minister Lama at various locations including Betrabati, Kalikasthan, Dhunche, and Syabrubesi, urging him to ensure funding for key projects.

According to Nepali Congress District President Pemwachhiring Tamang, locals requested urgent repair and upgrading of roads, early completion of the under-construction Rasuwagadhi Integrated Customs Office building, maintenance and improvement of the Gosainkunda religious route, as well as investments in agriculture, health facilities, schools, and the construction of an apple cold storage center.

They also appealed for the development of trekking trails and mule tracks in tourism-rich areas, building infrastructure at Gosainkunda, and addressing issues directly linked with people’s daily lives.

Minister Lama pledged to work in the interest of Rasuwa’s citizens by incorporating these demands into the provincial budget.
