KATHMANDU: Atlético Madrid edged past Real Oviedo 1–0 in a dramatic La Liga encounter at the Estadio Municipal Carlos Tartiere, with substitute Julián Álvarez scoring a stoppage-time winner to seal all three points.
The home side started brightly, with Federico Viñas testing Atlético’s goalkeeper Jan Oblak on several occasions. Oblak was in outstanding form, producing two crucial saves during first-half stoppage time to keep the scores level.
