KATHMANDU: Social activist Ashika Tamang has announced her decision to contest the upcoming House of Representatives election as an independent candidate.

“I have decided not to affiliate with any political party and hereby announce my independent candidacy in the upcoming parliamentary election, with Kathmandu Constituency No. 2 and No. 9 as my priority,” Tamang wrote in her post.
