APF officers successfully summit Mount Everest, make history

KATHMANDU: Two Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal officers have successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, marking a historic achievement for the organization.
Assistant Inspector Nim Dikki Sherpa reached the summit at 11:55 AM, while Assistant Sub-Inspector Anita Karki successfully stood atop the peak at 10:20 AM.
According to the Armed Police Force, both climbers have become the first female mountaineers from the organization to successfully scale Everest, bringing pride and recognition to APF Nepal.
Sherpa, originally from Sandakpur Rural Municipality-5, Ilam, and Karki, a national-level fencing athlete from Chuchure, Gokulganga Rural Municipality-1, Ramechhap, demonstrated discipline, courage, and strong determination during the expedition.
Both climbers are experienced in high-altitude operations and mountain rescue training, having previously summited peaks such as Chulu Far East and Lobuche, further strengthening their mountaineering credentials.
