KATHMANDU: Nepali actor Anoop Bikram Shahi is set to make his Bollywood debut with the upcoming film Battle of Galwan, sparking curiosity about his role.
While some speculated that he might play a minor part alongside Salman Khan, the recently released song “Matrubhumi” confirms that Anoop has a significant presence in the film.
The song, sung by Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, and Mani Dharmakot, prominently features Anoop, showcasing him in a pivotal scene facing Salman Khan.

Based on the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese forces in eastern Ladakh, the film reportedly includes a 13-minute action sequence featuring Anup and Salman.
The actor filmed his scenes over 25 days in Ladakh and Mumbai, and according to Indian media, Salman personally chose him for the role.
Battle of Galwan, scheduled for release on April 17 (Baisakh 4), is a biopic of Colonel Santosh Babu, played by Salman Khan.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhiya, the film also stars Chitrangda Singh and late singer Prashant Tamang in key roles.
