KATHMANDU: Nepal national cricket team captain Dipendra Singh Airee has risen to fourth place in the latest ICC T20 International all-rounder rankings, marking a significant milestone in his career.
In the updated rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday, based on performances up to Tuesday, Airee moved up one spot from fifth position.
He also achieved his highest-ever rating points of 256.
Nepal recently secured the championship at the Asian Games Qualifiers in Singapore, remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament.
Although Airee had limited opportunities with the bat, he delivered impactful performances whenever called upon.
Across four matches, he batted in two innings, scoring a total of 40 runs and also contributing with the ball by taking four wickets.
Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza continues to hold the top position in the all-rounder rankings with 328 rating points.
India’s Hardik Pandya remains second, while Pakistan’s Saim Ayub stays third. Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai has slipped to fifth place after previously holding fourth.
