Actor Sunil Thapa dies of heart attack: Confirmed

KATHMANDU: Renowned actor Sunil Thapa passed away due to a heart attack, according to the postmortem report.

The postmortem, conducted on Sunday morning at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, confirmed that Thapa’s death was caused by a blocked coronary artery, hospital sources said.

“A heart attack caused by a blocked artery led to his demise,” a hospital official stated.

Following the completion of the postmortem, Thapa’s body was released from the hospital.

The late actor’s remains is scheduled to be placed at the Film Development Board for public condolences.

The 68-year-old Thapa had passed away on Saturday morning at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali, after suddenly falling ill.
