Abhishek’s 135 powers Hyderabad to 47-run win

KATHMANDU: A century from Abhishek Sharma guided Sunrisers Hyderabad to a dominant 47-run victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday night.

Batting first in Hyderabad, Sunrisers posted a massive total of 242/2 in 20 overs.

Abhishek delivered a sensational unbeaten 135 off 68 balls, smashing 10 fours and 10 sixes to anchor the innings.

It marked his ninth century in T20 cricket.

He received solid support from Heinrich Klaasen (37*) and Travis Head (37), while Axar Patel picked up the lone wicket for Delhi.

Chasing a daunting target of 243, Delhi Capitals managed 195/9 in their 20 overs.

Nitish Rana top-scored with 57, and Sameer Rizvi added 41.

For Hyderabad, Eshan Malinga starred with four wickets, while Harsh Dubey claimed three.

With this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad climbed to third place in the IPL points table.
