KATHMANDU: A human skeleton discovered in the forest of Kulmane, located in Ward No. 9 of Panchkhapan Municipality, Sankhuwasabha, has been identified as that of a local man who had been missing for nearly nine months.

Local residents who were foraging for wild mushrooms on Sunday stumbled upon the remains and immediately notified the police.

A team led by Inspector Naresh Limbu from the Area Police Office, Wana, arrived at the scene and carried out the necessary legal procedures before sending the skeleton to the District Hospital in Khandbari for further examination and identification.

According to the District Police Office, the remains have been identified as belonging to 45-year-old Dingbuti Sherpa of Terse, Panchkhapan Municipality-9.
