Election for Student Union at RR Campus suspended
The suspension came after the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (ANNISU) locked the main gate of the campus.

KATHMANDU: The election for the Student Union (FSU) at Ratnarajyalakshmi (RR) Campus has been abruptly postponed, despite all preparations being completed.
The suspension came after the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (ANNISU) locked the main gate of the campus, halting the election process at the final stage.
Election Committee Coordinator Mahesh Bhattarai and Campus Chief Dr. Padmakumar Adhikari jointly issued a statement confirming that although all necessary preparations for the election were in place, the lockdown situation created adverse conditions, forcing them to suspend the process.
The incident occurred late Monday night when ANNISU placed locks on the campus gates, citing allegations of the campus administration issuing fraudulent identification cards.
The organization claimed this move as a protest against the administration’s actions.
According to Bhattarai, the election process will resume only after further discussions with the concerned parties, and a new date will be set after ensuring a stable environment.
