8th Nepal Riders Meet to kick off from Feb 14

KATHMANDU: Nepal is set to host the 8th Nepal Riders Meet from Feb 14 to 16, aiming to promote adventure motorcycle tourism across the country.

The event, organized by For Nepal and The Himalayan Motorcycle Experience, was announced at a press conference in Kathmandu on Monday.

It will be held in Lankuribhanjyang and is expected to attract over 500 Royal Enfield riders from Nepal, India, Bhutan, and other countries, according to Arjun Thapa, coordinator of The Himalayan Motorcycle Experience.

The three-day meet will feature performances reflecting local art and culture, along with exhibitions of regional products and cuisine.

Participants will also compete in motorcycle-related sports, including tug of war, Skill Time Trial 350, Skill Time Trial 411, slow race, combo backward pull, and beer chug competitions.

Organizers have formed various committees to ensure smooth preparations, while hospitality arrangements for international guests will be co-managed with the Nepal Tourism Board.

The event is expected to play a key role in establishing Nepal as a safe and premier international destination for adventure motorcycle travel.
