KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled a preliminary squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s Challenge Trophy set to be held in Rwanda.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, CAN confirmed a 30-member initial squad as part of its preparation for the international tournament.

The selected players include Bindu Rawal, Rubina Chhetry, Samjhana Khadka, Pooja Mahato, Indu Barma, Sita Rana Magar, Ruby Poddar, Kabita Joshi, Kabita Kunwar, Riya Sharma, Roma Thapa, Suman Bista, Anu Kadayat, Simana KC, and Rajmati Airee.

Also named in the preliminary list are Manisha Upadhyay, Trishna B.K., Kusum Godar, Rachana Chaudhary, Sony Pakhrin, Sana Prabin, Khushi Dangol, Sudha Dhami, Kiran Kunwar, Laxmi Saud, Alisha Yadav, Yashoda Bista, Angie Pathak, and Rama Budhathoki.

The squad will be further trimmed after training and evaluation, with the final team expected to represent Nepal in Rwanda.
