KATHMANDU: Napoli have secured the Serie A title after a convincing 2-0 home win against Cagliari on Friday.

This marks their second league triumph in three years and the fourth Serie A championship in the club’s history.

Goals from Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku sealed the historic victory.

Although title contenders Inter Milan also recorded a 2-0 win over Como, Napoli clinched the trophy by a single point.

McTominay lit up the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium with a sensational bicycle kick just three minutes before halftime, converting a precise cross from Matteo Politano.

In the 51st minute, Lukaku doubled the lead with a clinical finish, shrugging off a defender after receiving a long pass.

The title holds special significance for head coach Antonio Conte.

Having previously guided Juventus and Inter Milan to league titles, Conte now adds Napoli to his list, becoming one of the few managers to win the Serie A with three different clubs.
