KATHMANDU: Two Israeli Embassy employees were shot dead near the Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. late last night, according to U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
Media reports confirmed that both individuals were fatally shot in what is being described as a targeted attack.
One of the victims, who was critically injured, was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to injuries.
Authorities have launched a full investigation into the incident. Police are currently questioning a person of interest in connection with the case.
Secretary Noem stated that federal and local agencies are closely coordinating efforts to uncover the motive behind the attack.
