One dead in early morning crash in Chitwan
The car driver, 42-year-old Pradeep Timilsina, a resident of Khairahani Municipality-8, sustained critical injuries in the crash.
KATHMANDU: A man lost his life in a tragic road accident that occurred early Friday morning in Khairahani Municipality-2, Jyamire Chowk, along the East-West Highway.
According to the Chitwan District Police Office, the incident took place at approximately 1:45 AM when a passenger bus (Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 7023), en route to Kathmandu from Udayapur, collided head-on with a car (Bagmati Province 01-030 Cha 1157) coming from the opposite direction.
The car driver, 42-year-old Pradeep Timilsina, a resident of Khairahani Municipality-8, sustained critical injuries in the crash.
He was rushed to Chitwan Medical College for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead at 3:05 AM during the course of treatment, confirmed DSP Rabindra Khanal, spokesperson for the Chitwan District Police Office.
Police have taken the bus and its driver into custody for further investigation into the incident.
