KATHMANDU: The hearing on the custody confirmation case of Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Home Minister, has been adjourned midway due to lack of time.

The joint bench of Justice Nahakul Subedi and Justice Bal Krishna Dhakal has been hearing the writ petitions filed by Lamichhane and former DIG Chhabilal Joshi since Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the hearing was halted as Justice Subedi was engaged with constitutional bench matters, preventing the bench from convening.

Today, Senior Advocate Raman Kumar Shrestha argued on behalf of Lamichhane, followed by legal representatives of former DIG Joshi.

Thereafter, government lawyers presented their arguments.

On Thursday, government attorneys Govinda Khanal, Lokraj Parajuli, and others continued the debate.

Tomorrow, after the government’s arguments conclude, legal counsel representing the victims will present their submissions, followed by rebuttal arguments.
