Two held with US made pistol

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two individuals with a U.S.-made pistol, one round of ammunition, and a magazine from Benitar, Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-4, on Thursday afternoon.

The arrested have been identified as Milan Dhakal, 25, of Harkapur, Gaindakot Municipality-12, Nawalparasi (East), and Bijay Tiwari, 32, of Gaurinagar, Madi Municipality-7, Chitwan.

According to the Area Police Office, Aanbukhaireni, the duo was apprehended during a routine check of a motorcycle (Na.28 Pa 1519) en route from Muglin to Aanbukhaireni.

The pistol and ammunition were discovered during the inspection, leading to the arrest of the rider, Tiwari, and pillion passenger, Dhakal.

Police have launched a further investigation into the case.
