PAC refers Patanjali land probe to CIAA

KATHMANDU: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Federal Parliament has decided to forward its investigation report on the controversial Patanjali land acquisition case to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for further inquiry.
The decision was made during a committee meeting held on Thursday.
Following the session, PAC Chairperson Rishikesh Pokharel informed the media that the committee had received complaints related to the Patanjali land issue.
Based on responses gathered from concerned ministries and other stakeholders, the committee prepared an initial report.
The committee has now resolved to recommend further investigation and necessary action through the CIAA.
In the same meeting, the committee also extended the tenure of its seven sub-committees, which were formed to study various complaints submitted to PAC, by one additional month.
Regarding the report on Pokhara Regional International Airport, Chairperson Pokharel clarified that there is no doubt or mistrust concerning the findings, and the report has already been forwarded to the CIAA for further investigation.
