Manohar Poudel re-elected Chair of Udpidit Jatiya Mukti Samaj

KATHMANDU: Manohar Bishwakarma Poudel has been unanimously re-elected as the Chairperson of the Nepal Udpidit Jatiya Mukti Samaj during its 7th National Convention held in Kathmandu.

Poudel, who was serving as chair in the previous term as well, will now lead the organization for a second consecutive term.

The organization, affiliated with the CPN-UML, also elected other key office bearers during the convention.

Maina Achhami and Nirmal Deula were chosen as Vice-Chairpersons, while Anubhuti Bam Nepali was elected General Secretary.

Nepali previously served as Vice-Chair.

Somanath Portel has been selected as Deputy General Secretary. Tek Ghatani, Tej Kumar BK, Kalpana Baral, and Mandev Hajra were elected as Secretaries.

The central committee members elected under the open category include Prem Bhul, Bharam Sunar, Kashi Khati, Hari Rasaily, Krishna Gadal, Mangal Nepali, Naveen Ghatani, Rabi Senchury, Santa Pariyar, Umesh Bishwakarma, Dasharath Ram, Bal Bahadur Pariyar, and Satyaraj Sneh.

In the women’s category, the new members are Nandakala Damai, Nirmala Pariyar, Manbuja Bishwakarma, Sabitra Pariyar, Asmita Pariyar, Anjana Gahtoraj, Kalpana Ramdam, Harkamaya Bishwakarma, Dhanmaya Bishwakarma, Rita Rijal, Laxmi Bishwakarma, Geetadevi Ram, and Balkumari Bishwakarma.

Region-wise, the new committee includes 11 members from Madhesh, 19 from Bagmati, 17 from Gandaki, 20 from Koshi, 18 from Lumbini, 13 from Karnali, 14 from Sudurpaschim, and 4 from minority communities.

Gopal Pariyar has been elected Chair of the Audit Commission, with Kumar Bishwakarma as Vice-Chair and Narendra Bhitrikoti as Secretary.

In the Disciplinary Commission, Aphilal Okheda was elected Chair, Govinda Paswan as Vice-Chair, and Krishna Nepali as Secretary.

Similarly, Sundar Bishwakarma will lead the Election Commission, with Shanti Verma as Vice-Chair and Jay Bahadur BK as Secretary.
