Bridge constructed over Bhuteni rivulet at Haldibari of Jhapa

KATHMANDU: A bridge has been constructed over the Bhuteni River, connecting ward no. 5 and 1 of Haldibari Rural Municipality in Jhapa.

The Chair of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and MP Rajendra Lingden said during the inauguration of the bridge that if there are dreams, plans, and honesty among the people’s representatives, there will be no obstacles to development.
So far, 150 wooden bridges have been displaced, and the construction of bridges and culverts has been carried out, said the Rural Municipality Chair, Rajendra Lingden.
According to him, construction of two more bridges over the Bhusudi river is about to be completed.
Chief Administrative Officer of Haldibari Rural Municipality, Man Bahadur Ban (Mahendra), informed that the bridge over the Bhuteni rivulet and two over the Bhusudi rivulet have been constructed at a cost of Rs 49 million 685 thousand 928 from the municipality’s own budget.
The construction of the bridge over the Bhuteni rivulet has benefited thousands of local residents from wards 5 and 1 of the rural municipality.
Now direct connectivity has been established between Haldibari-1 and 5, said Rajan Neupane, head of the municipal planning department.
He added that it has also now become easier for the students of the nearby Dhanusha Basic School who had been facing difficulties in commuting during the rainy season.
