Gold price soars by Rs 5,000

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market surged sharply on Wednesday, rising by Rs 5,000 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

With this increase, Chhapawal gold is now being traded at Rs 189,800 per tola, up from Tuesday’s rate of Rs 184,800.

Silver prices have also climbed.

Today, silver is being traded at Rs 1,990 per tola, compared to Rs 1,940 on Tuesday.
