SC clears way for Bishwo Paudel’s governor appointment

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has upheld the decision to reject the writ petition filed against Bishwo Paudel, effectively clearing the way for his potential appointment as governor.

A single bench of Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla affirmed the Supreme Court administration’s earlier move to dismiss the petition filed by advocates Pratibha Upreti and Bishal Thapa without registering it.

With this decision, there are no immediate legal obstacles to Paudel’s appointment.

However, questions regarding his eligibility may be examined by the court only if and when his appointment is officially made.
