Three more days of rain likely across Nepal
According to the Division, most parts of the country are currently experiencing light to heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds.

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has predicted rainfall across Nepal for the next three days due to the continued influence of western and local winds.
According to the Division, most parts of the country are currently experiencing light to heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
The public has been urged to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
Meteorologist Sanjiv Adhikari stated that the weather remains generally to partly cloudy across the country, with light rainfall occurring in one or two places in each province, accompanied by thunder and lightning.
“Currently, western and local winds, along with moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, are affecting Nepal,” he said. “This is causing intermittent rainfall at any time of the day.”
He further explained that during the pre-monsoon season, thunderstorm-induced rainfall is common, especially in the evenings.
Rain is expected in various parts of the country tonight and is likely to continue for the next three days.
The Division has also warned that thunderstorms, lightning, and moderate rainfall in some areas may disrupt daily life, agriculture, health services, road transport, and air travel.
People are advised to stay prepared and exercise caution to minimize the impact.
