Melamchi Water distribution begins in Singha Durbar
Minister for Water Supply, Pradeep Yadav, inaugurated the supply during a formal event held this morning.
KATHMANDU: The distribution of Melamchi water has officially started in Singha Durbar from today.
Minister for Water Supply, Pradeep Yadav, inaugurated the supply during a formal event held this morning.
Speaking at the program, Minister Yadav stated that with the commencement of Melamchi water distribution, the use of jar and bottled water within Singha Durbar will be phased out.
He added that pipelines will be expanded to ensure that all ministries and offices inside the government complex receive a regular supply of Melamchi water.
The program was attended by Secretary of the Ministry, Engineer Pramila Devi Shakya Bajracharya; Joint Secretary Engineer Meena Shrestha; Director General of the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management, Engineer Ram Kumar Shrestha; KUUKL Chief Ashok Paudel; and other officials.
