Four Koshi Province lawmakers injured in accident

KATHMANDU: A vehicle carrying four Provincial Assembly members from Koshi Province was involved in a road accident on Monday in Kanepokhari, Morang district.
According to preliminary investigations, the vehicle was en route from Jhapa to Biratnagar when it collided with an oncoming red car, leading to the accident.
The lawmakers in the vehicle were Nambarlal Dhimal, Radhakrishna Khanal, Maiya Shrestha, and Bidya Chamling. The vehicle, bearing registration number BEI 1406, was hit by a red car with license plate number Ba 5 Cha 3520.
Fortunately, no casualties or serious injuries were reported, according to the police.
Maiya Shrestha is a Provincial Assembly member from the Nepali Congress, while Radhakrishna Khanal and Nambarlal Dhimal represent the CPN-UML, with Dhimal serving as a proportional representative from Jhapa.
Bidya Chamling is a proportional representative from the CPN (Unified Socialist).
