Woman dies from electric shock in Simraungadh

KATHMANDU: A 30-year-old woman from Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-8, Barewa, died after being electrocuted while operating a water pump on Sunday afternoon in Simraungadh Municipality-6.

The victim, Jasodha Devi, received a severe electric shock from a water pump fitted with an electric motor.

She was rushed to Dharmalal Poly Clinic in Simraungadh for treatment but succumbed to her injuries during medical care.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
