KATHMANDU: Madhav Sapkota, a Member of Parliament from the CPN (Maoist Centre), has called on the government to take immediate action to resolve longstanding problems related to guthis across the country.

Speaking during Zero Hour in the House of Representatives, MP Sapkota highlighted that 146 guthis registered under different names in Sindhupalchok alone are currently facing serious issues.

He emphasized that millions of people across Nepal are affected by guthi-related complications, with such problems reported in 68 districts, each with different characteristics.

Sapkota urged the government to conduct a comprehensive study and introduce a bill to address the diverse nature of guthi issues without delay.

He stressed that no long-term solution can be achieved unless a formal bill is introduced to tackle the problem effectively.
