KATHMANDU: Former U.S. President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with high-grade prostate cancer, which has reportedly spread to his bones.

According to international media reports, his office released an official statement confirming the diagnosis.

The 82-year-old Biden had visited his doctor last week to address issues related to urination, and the cancer was detected on Friday.

Doctors have classified his condition as “high-grade” cancer, indicating that the cancer cells are likely to spread rapidly, as explained by Cancer Research UK.

Biden and his family are currently reviewing treatment options.

His office stated that the cancer is hormone-sensitive, which means it may respond to hormone therapy.

Following the announcement, former President Donald Trump expressed his concern on Truth Social, writing, “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We wish him a speedy recovery.”
