KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 2.69 points on Sunday, a decline of 0.10 percent, closing at 2,609.05 points.

This marks a continued downward trend since Baisakh 25 (May 8).

Out of the total listed companies, share prices of 100 increased, 145 declined, and one remained unchanged.

The day recorded 79,893 share transactions worth Rs 8.50 billion.

A total of 16.9 million shares were traded.

Among the sub-indices, only Microfinance, Others, and Hotels & Tourism saw gains.

All other sectors declined, with the Trade sub-index falling by 164.88 points, Development Banks by 126.29 points, and Non-Life Insurance by 109.27 points.
