KATHMANDU: Indian actress and sensational dancer Nora Fatehi captivated thousands of Nepali fans with her electrifying performance at the “Nora Fatehi Live in Nepal” event held Saturday at Hyatt Ground, Bouddha, Kathmandu.
Marking her first-ever visit to Nepal, Fatehi praised the country’s rich culture and warm hospitality.
She expressed heartfelt gratitude for the immense love her songs have received from Nepali audiences, calling it a “source of energy and an unforgettable experience.”
“I’m familiar with Nepali dancers performing on my songs — I watch their dance clips often. Some of my close friends are Nepali, and they always tell me about the love I receive from Nepal,” said the actress.
In a delightful surprise, Fatehi invited popular Nepali artist Sushant Khatri to the stage, catching both the audience and event organizers off guard. Referring to him as “my talented Nepali friend,” the duo set the stage ablaze with their stunning performance on the song “Gehraiyaan.” The crowd responded with roaring cheers and applause.
Adding another special moment, Fatehi recognized and invited Gaurav Sitoula, a content creator known for his energetic dance covers of her songs, from the audience to perform with her. The pair danced together to her hit track “Dilbar,” creating an unforgettable memory.
“I’ve been a huge fan of Nora Fatehi. I’ve recreated all her songs on stage or video. Dancing with her today was a dream come true,” said Sitoula.
Accompanied by her 23-member dance troupe, Fatehi delivered a nearly 40-minute non-stop high-energy performance featuring her biggest hits — “Snake Dance,” “Kusu Kusu,” “O Saki Saki,” and “Naach Meri Rani.”
“The love and hospitality I’ve received in Nepal have given me even more energy. The people of this beautiful country are as beautiful as its landscapes,” she shared.
Fatehi arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday morning, May 18, with two assistants and departed for the United Arab Emirates on Sunday.
The event was organized in support of underprivileged children’s education by Human Respect Nepal, in collaboration with Worldwide Films’ Dev Magar and Manu Media’s Manish Karki.
Alongside Fatehi, the event also featured performances by top Nepali artists — singer Durgesh Thapa, star dancer Teriya Magar, Samarpan Lama, and the top five finalists of The Voice of Nepal Season 6: Process Pandey, Roshan Rai, Arpana Acharya, Pramesh Rai, and Indrakala Rai.
