KATHMANDU: Bayern Munich concluded their Bundesliga-winning season in style with a commanding 4–0 victory over Hoffenheim.

The match also marked the final appearance of veteran forward Thomas Müller for the club.

The 35-year-old Müller, who has won 13 Bundesliga titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies with Bayern, is set to leave the club as his contract expires at the end of this season.

He spent the majority of his illustrious career with Bayern, becoming one of the club’s most iconic figures.

Müller played 503 Bundesliga matches, placing him 12th on the all-time appearance list in the league.

He scored 248 goals for Bayern across all competitions. In his final game, he was substituted in the second half, making way for Harry Kane.

Michael Olise opened the scoring for Bayern in the 33rd minute with a brilliant free-kick.

Joshua Kimmich doubled the lead in the 53rd minute with a close-range finish.

Serge Gnabry added a third in the 80th minute with a low shot from the edge of the box, and Harry Kane sealed the emphatic win with his 26th league goal of the season in the 86th minute.

Bayern finished the season 13 points ahead of their closest challengers, Bayer Leverkusen.

Meanwhile, Hoffenheim narrowly avoided the relegation play-off spot, thanks to Werder Bremen’s win over Heidenheim.
