NIC ASIA Laghubitta conducts financial literacy & livestock training programs

KATHMANDU: NIC ASIA Laghubitta has successfully conducted financial literacy and training programs in various regions under its initiative to empower local communities with essential financial and entrepreneurial knowledge.
On May 12, the company organized a financial literacy program at its Magarkot branch office under the Gandaki Province.
The event was held in the presence of local representative Tek Narayan Mahato and Bhuwan Raj Bhatta, Monitoring Officer from the Magarkot Sub-Provincial Office.
Branch Manager Gopal Sunar, along with other staff members, also participated in the program.
The session witnessed active participation from around 40 local women members, highlighting the community’s growing interest in financial awareness.
Similarly, the Bangesimal branch of the microfinance institution successfully conducted a financial literacy and refresher training program.
The event saw the presence of Nabaraj Singh, Karnali Province Head of NIC ASIA Laghubitta, Ganesh Pun Magar, Monitoring Officer at the Bangesimal Sub-Provincial Office, and several branch staff.
A total of 55 members participated in the program, which aimed to enhance understanding of financial services and strengthen customer relationships.
In addition, the Bestada branch in Dailekh organized a three-day basic goat farming training program from May 10 to 12.
Participants expressed positive feedback, emphasizing the training’s importance in promoting sustainable livelihoods.
The training was graced by Ganesh Bahadur Thapa, Chairperson of Bhagawatimai Rural Municipality, Mina Kumari Khadka, Vice Chairperson, Livestock Technician Trainer Ganesh Raj Joshi, Binesh Pariyar, and other local stakeholders.
