KC urges govt. to speed up Pushpalal Highway completion
KC expressed frustration over the fact that, despite being under construction for the past 22 years, the highway remains incomplete.

KATHMANDU: Chitra Bahadur KC, the Chair of Rastriya Janamorcha, has called on the government to expedite the completion of the Pushpalal Highway, emphasizing that the construction process should be finished as soon as possible.
Speaking during a special session in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, KC expressed frustration over the fact that, despite being under construction for the past 22 years, the highway remains incomplete.
He described the delay as an ironic and unfortunate situation.
KC pointed out that the highway’s incomplete status has severely affected the local population, with dust in the winter and mud during the monsoon, both of which have significantly harmed agriculture and the health of residents.
He urged the government to call for immediate tenders to ensure the road’s swift completion.
As the highway falls within his electoral constituency, KC further added that the government must provide answers to the public on why the project has not been completed yet, and how much longer it will take to finish.
He expressed optimism that the upcoming national budget would pave the way for the immediate construction of the Pushpalal Highway.
