Significant drop in gold price, slight rise in silver

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market saw a significant decline today, while silver recorded a slight increase, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

As of Tuesday, the price of fine gold has dropped by Rs 2,000 per tola, now standing at Rs 184,800.

On Monday, the price was Rs 186,800 per tola. Market experts attribute this drop to fluctuations in the international market, which have had a direct impact on local rates.

Meanwhile, silver prices saw a modest uptick.

The price rose from Rs 1,960 per tola on Monday to Rs 1,970 per tola today.
