KAVREPALANCHOWK: Former President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has said that the message of Gautama Buddha is useful in the life of every individual.

Inaugurating the Extensive Cultural Peace Walk from the historic town of Panauti to the tourist site of Namobuddha organized by the Kavre Sewa Samaj (Kavre Service Society) today on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, the former President said the message of Gautam Buddha is beneficial for citizens both at home and abroad even in changed times at present.
The president of the organization, Purushottam Nepal, stated that the march has been organized with the aim of promoting internal and external tourism while spreading the message of peace and harmony, and of promoting local arts and culture.
The cultural peace march has been organized from Maneshwari, a place where Gautam Buddha is believed to have visited, to Namobuddha.
It passed through Inte-Shankhu-Shankheswari-Jangal.
The Society had also organized a walk on the same route in Oct 2023.
The organizers have stated that more than 500 people participated in the extensive cultural peace march.
