KATHMANDU: With a noticeable increase in passenger demand, flights from Resunga Airport in Gulmi will now operate three times a week.

According to Station Chief Suman Thapa, the airport will offer scheduled flights on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Although flights had been running on a weekly basis until recently, irregularities were common due to aircraft shortages at Nepal Airlines.

The service is operated using a Twin Otter aircraft, which has now resumed regular operations following necessary maintenance.

Flights between Resunga and Kathmandu are priced at Rs 7,080 for the Resunga–Kathmandu route and Rs 7,280 for the Kathmandu–Resunga route.

Weather disruptions and aircraft unavailability had previously hindered consistent flight schedules. However, the resumption of regular services has sparked enthusiasm among locals. “This is a great relief for the people of Gulmi,” said local resident Manoj Karki.

Nepal Airlines’ 18-seater aircraft will depart from Kathmandu at 6:10 AM and return from Resunga at 7:15 AM on scheduled flight days.
