Man held for raping of 35-year-old woman

KATHMANDU: A 52-year-old man has been arrested on charges of raping a 35-year-old woman in Rupandehi, Siddharthanagar Municipality-4, Buddha Colony.

The suspect, identified as Kush Karki, was taken into custody on Saturday night by a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Bhairahawa, following a complaint filed by the victim.

According to police, the arrest was made after the woman reported that Karki had forcibly raped her.

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
