House passes govt policy & program for FY 2082/83

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives has passed the government’s policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 by a majority vote in today’s session.

Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire announced that the policy and program had been endorsed by a majority of the lawmakers.

The document was initially presented to the House on Baisakh 19, and underwent continuous deliberations from Baisakh 22 to 28.

Concluding the discussions today, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli responded to the concerns and queries raised by Members of Parliament.

A total of 37 amendment proposals—both individual and joint—had been registered. However, all of them were rejected during the voting process.
