CoAS Sigdel honours winners of National Tennis Tournament 2082
The tournament was held at the Army Headquarters premises starting from Baisakh 21.
KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Ashokraj Sigdel presented cash prizes to the winning clubs and players of this year’s “Chief of Army Staff National Tennis Tournament 2082.”
The tournament was held at the Army Headquarters premises starting from Baisakh 21.
In the club category, Tribhuvan Army Club secured first place, followed by Kathmandu Lawn Tennis Association in second, and Nepal Tennis Association in third.
In the women’s singles category, Shivali Gurung claimed first place, with Swastika Bista and Sunira Thapa & Prakriti Shrestha securing second and joint third positions, respectively.
In the men’s singles, Pradeep Khadka won first place, Arbhasamrat Hada came second, while Nishan Shrestha and Pranav Manandhar finished joint third.
The tournament featured 12 categories, including open and veterans’ events.
A total of 196 players, including 15 women from nine clubs, participated in the competition.
The event was organized with technical support from the Nepal Tennis Association.
